44 Bowen Street Open

28 July 2023

The fourth and final building of Bowen Campus is complete.

We are pleased to announce the opening of 44 Bowen Street which signifies the completion of Bowen Campus.

Valued over $500 million, Bowen Campus is adjacent to the Beehive and is transformational for this area of Wellington's city centre.

The last building to complete the precinct is 44 Bowen Street; a new home to KMPG and Waka Kotahi NZ Transport Agency.

The opening was officiated by Hon Grant Robertson, Minister of Finance and MP for Wellington Central in partnership with iwi representatives from Te Āti Awa Taranaki Whānui who conducted a blessing.

Scott Pritchard, Precinct’s Chief Executive said, “Today is significant. It’s a proud moment for our team to see the completion and opening of the truly transformational Bowen Campus precinct.

“The high-quality occupiers from government agencies and New Zealand’s leading corporates such as EY and KPMG moving into Bowen Campus, reinforces the need for new future-proofed, quality commercial buildings of this calibre as occupiers seek out this prime location within the Parliamentary precinct.

“To have all the buildings across the campus leased ahead of completion is a clear indication of the demand for high quality office environments from clients in the Wellington market. As the work-from-work trend continues people want to be in modern workplaces with great amenities and the sense of community and connection this brings – Bowen Campus delivers on all those fronts.

“Beyond this milestone today, Precinct is committed to Wellington and through our locally based team, we continue to explore opportunities for further investment.”

Over 5,000 people will come to work here at Bowen Campus every day.
