Precinct is leading the transformation of Auckland's Downtown Carpark site, an ambitious, once-in-a-generation project that will redefine the western edge of Tāmaki Makaurau's city centre.
Seamlessly integrated into the Commercial Bay precinct, the development represents the next chapter in Auckland's waterfront evolution.
The project will deliver a 55-level premium office tower bringing more than 7,000 workers into the precinct, three podium levels connecting retail, hospitality and food and beverage experiences, a distinctive covered public space, and new laneway connections linking Britomart, Commercial Bay and the Viaduct.
The project will be delivered in stages, with the initial focus on a premium office tower, retail, hospitality and public spaces, while retaining flexibility for a future residential and hotel tower.
Building on Precinct's proven track record of delivering transformative city-centre destinations, the development will create new places for people to work, meet, shop, dine and connect, while strengthening Auckland's position as a vibrant and globally competitive waterfront city.
A cornerstone of the project is Precinct's partnership with Ngāti Whātua Ōrākei, mana whenua of the site. Through cultural leadership, design integration and social procurement initiatives, the collaboration ensures tikanga Māori values are embedded throughout the development, creating meaningful outcomes for Aucklanders and contributing to a more connected and inclusive city.
