Precinct launches Pillars boutique residential development in St Marys Bay

August 25th, 2025

Designed to appeal to discerning buyers, Pillars represents the newest addition to Precinct’s growing portfolio of premium residential developments. As New Zealand’s largest owner and developer of high-quality city centre real estate, NZX listed Precinct brings its hallmark style and innovation to this exclusive address.

Comprising 20 luxury residences across two apartment buildings on an elevated site of 2,364 sqm on the ridgeline over-looking St Marys Bay, the site has frontages to College Hill as well as Dublin Street. Pillars includes two distinct offerings designed to appeal to different sections of the market: 16 apartments across a four-level apartment building plus basement carpark at 99 College Hill and four refined homes with frontage to Dublin Street.

With architectural and interior design by Jasmax, Pillars will be a new residential landmark for the area, distinguished by its bold and timeless architectural form. Each light-filled apartment features dual aspects, allowing natural light to flow throughout the interiors. Six of the ground-floor residences include expansive courtyards, ideal for buyers seeking an outdoor area or transitioning from suburban homes to apartment living.

Upper-level apartments at 99 College Hill offer sweeping views of the harbour and city, enhanced by sunny northern aspects and spacious balconies. The Dublin Street residences provide flexible floor plans, accommodating either three or four bedrooms to suit a variety of lifestyles, and also enjoy stunning city outlooks.

Scott Pritchard, Chief Executive of Precinct said, “Pillars will redefine architectural living in Auckland’s inner city. We are proud to bring this development to market as our residential build-to-sell strategy gains momentum. With our proven expertise in delivering world-class developments, this marks a significant milestone in our commitment to creating exceptional homes within the city fringe.”

“As with our commercial projects, the Living and Residential arm of our business is focused on crafting spaces that enrich the lives of those who reside in them. Every detail is considered to ensure a living experience that is truly distinctive.”

Shannon Joe, Head of Design from Jasmax commented “The design reflects its surroundings - grounded in the heritage and character of St Mary’s Bay yet reimagined for modern living. The Pillars is a statement of timeless elegance, where every detail is crafted to elevate daily life.”

In addition to Pillars, St Mary’s Bay, Precinct has previously announced a multi-unit apartment development on a 5,250 square metre site which has now achieved Resource Consent at 198–222 Dominion Road and 113–117 Valley Road in Mount Eden. The company also has three build-to-sell residential projects currently under construction, representing a combined value of $431 million. These include The Domain Collection, Fabric² , and York House  developed on behalf of capital partners.

“There’s a real opportunity for well capitalised property companies to reshape the residential market—introducing a new standard of quality, scale, and long-term care. This, and future projects is our commitment to delivering that vision, and to setting a new benchmark for residential living” Scott Pritchard added.

Bayleys has been appointed to manage the sales and marketing of Pillars, with a show suite and launch event scheduled for October. Interested parties are encouraged to register early at www.precinct.co.nz/register.

Construction is anticipated to commence in the first half of 2026, with completion expected in 2028.
