Rattan's Career at Precinct

We spoke with Rattan about his career so far at Precinct. Starting out three years ago as the After Hours Concierge, to Retail Security Supervisor, to Concierge, to now Assistant Facilities Manager, Rattan continues to live and breath the Precinct values which show in his everyday work. Here's what Rattan said...

Tell us a bit about your career at Precinct and what is your current job?

I recently moved into the position of Assistant Facilities Manager, where I look after the Auckland Portfolio. My role includes ensuring our portfolio facilities are all maintained and that they meet the needs of the organisation and its clients.

What area of your new role in the facilities team are you most looking forward to?

I'm looking forward to transforming facilities from a cost center into a competitive advantage. I want to identify opportunities and improve the workplace to positively effect outcomes for the business.

What did you want to be when you grew up?

I love to act! When I was younger, I was in every single stage show and wanted to pursue a career in theatre.

What do you enjoy most about working at Precinct?

The best thing about Precinct Properties is they have a great working culture. Three years ago, when I started my career as an afterhours concierge in the Precinct buildings, I wanted to join the Precinct team. I feel so privileged and grateful to now be part of Precinct Properties. I look forward to my new responsibilities and taking ownership of them.
